An original Texan landscape painting by Loveta Strickland. Loveta Strickland is a central Texas-based painter who works in oils and acrylics. The majority of her earlier works were Texas landscape pieces, although she has explored other themes. This piece shows a small creek winding through the Texas Hill Country with cacti lining the banks of the water. Rolling green hills line the background and a small farm with a windmill can be seen at the right upper corner. It is signed by the artist at the lower right corner and it is housed in an ornate gold tone frame .
