Print After "Emperor Ming Huang's Flight to Sichuan"

A print after Emporer Ming Huang’s Flight to Sichuan by the artist Li Zhaodao (李昭道, 675-758). This offset lithograph is after a Chinese painting on silk from the Tang dynasty period depicting mountain paths and travelers on horseback. According to the commentary on the verso, the rider dressed in red is supposed to be Emperor Ming Huang. Red collector’s seals are part of the print. Framed under glass with wood patterned mat and hanging wire at back.
