1987 "A Day in Eden" Cincinnati Promotional Poster and Clay Model Sculpture

A 1987 promotional poster and clay model sculpture of a Cincinnati festival scene at Eden Park. The festival was located in Eden Park in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday August 15, 1987 which is promoted, along with the clay sculpture, on the poster and was sponsored by Cincinnati Suburban Press, Cincinnati Bell, and the Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company to name a few. The clay diorama features a festival scene with children, balloons, a couple of woolly mammoth, a magician and clown, and a rock band. Notable landmarks in the city’s park were rendered in clay such as Cincinnati Art Museum, Krohn Conservatory, Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Historical Society, and the Natural History Museum. The sculpture was made by Jim Williams of Plum Art, 1987.

Condition

- to fair. The clay model seems to be in good condition except for cracks in the sidewalk and an elephant’s tusk that has fallen off.
