An original ink comic illustration by listed Cincinnati Enquirer editorial cartoonist, Jim Borgman (born 1954), for the newspaper cartoon Zits, written by Jerry Scott. The image features two cartoon windows, captioned and . The left image, captioned ‘How Teenagers Hug Their Parents’, depicts a mother affectionately hugging her teenage son, who cringes at her embrace while keeping his hands locked to his sides. The right image, captioned ‘How Teenagers Hug Each Other’, depicts the same teenager administering an avaricious, death grip of a hug to a chaotic clump of friends who reciprocate his enthusiasm. Dated 2003 to upper right and signed ‘Scott and Borgman’ to lower right of first image. The cartoon is mounted behind white mat, under glass in a glossy black brushed metal frame.
