Mid 19th C Victorian Gothic Style Walnut Ansonia Mantle Clock

An antique mid 19th century Victorian Gothic style walnut Ansonia mantle clock. This beautiful and commanding clock is designed with a beveled trimmed arch top, with a crest design with carved scrollwork flanking a bronze tone classical head topped with carved fan. To each side of the arch are a wooden pyramids, which also accent the base. The clock face is in an aged shade of cream, with black Roman numerals and black hands. A glass-paned door reveals the brass strike and clock mechanism. Below the door is a rectangular elements with bronze tone lion head medallion flanked by wings. The clock features narrow angled mirror panels to each side, with curved bases below. The clock’s key is present.
