An original oil on canvas painting by well listed Cincinnati artist Tom Lohre. This painting is entitled ‘English Village above Portsmouth.’ ‘Tom visited long time artist friend John Rouse and painted with him in the field over the week. The shop across the street is the local quick store and post office. Tom painted the girls there stimulating the flow of knowledge from master to student. (via notes on the verso).’ Tom is the inventor of the Lego Mindstorm painting machine, painted the eruption of Mt. Saint Helen, and was the first artist to paint a space shuttle from life. This is an absolutely lovely painting housed in an outstanding gilt wood frame.
