A collection of DC and Dark Horse comic adaptations of Wagner’s The Ring of the Nibelung opera. Included are four circa 1990 books from DC Comics including Book One: The Rhinegold, Book Two: The Valkyrie, Book Three: Siegfried and Book Four: The Twilight of the Gods. All books in the DC series are written by Roy Thomas and feature artists Gil Kane and Jim Woodring. Also featured is P. Craig Russell’s circa 2000 three-part Book Two: Valkyrie from his The Ring of the Nibelung adaption for Dark Horse Comics. This collection also includes P. Craig Russell’s circa 1980s Pelléas and Mélisande from Eclipse Comics after the Maeterlinck play and Debussy opera.
