Nippon Porcelain Moriage Urn

Item Details

A hand-painted Nippon porcelain moriage urn. This two-handled vase features black scrolling ornamentation to the rim and handles, brown bands with white beading to the upper body, and a white- and sage green-glazed lower body. The vessel is decorated with black moriage-outlined flowers with glazed fill in salmon, red, pale yellow, violet, and beige. The base is marked with a green ‘M’ encircled by a wreath and the words ‘Hand-Painted / Nippon.’

Condition

- some chips to beading; a few stains and scuffs; would benefit from cleaning.
