An offset lithographic poster promoting the 1988 art exhibition of the work of well-listed and renowned English painter David Hockney (born 1937), at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, titled David Hockney: A Retrospective. The featured imagery of the poster is a reproduction of Hockney’s original 1980 acrylic painting titled Nichols Canyon, depicting a lively, vivacious interpretation of the Californian terrain in which he resided. The poster is mounted behind dual sheets of non-glare glass in a four-color metal frame.

Condition

- to fair. While poster seems to be in good condition, the bottom has been trimmed and mounted to verso. Finish of frame is scratched.
