A Longaberger picnic basket. This large basket features a leather strap affixed to the lid that loops over a wooden peg affixed to the main basket body for closure. The basket has two handles that fold to the side. This piece is marked ‘Longaberger baskets handwoven Dresden, Ohio USA’ to the bottom along with the initials of the weaver and the year made.
