Rare Disneyana 1999 "You Can Call Me Flower" Bambi and Thumper Bronze

A rare bronze casting titled ‘You Can Call Me Flower’ by prominant animator Marc Davis (1913-2000), sculpted by Bruce Lau. The bronze was produced for the 1999 Disney World Disneyana Convention limited to 131 pieces. The darling bronze recalls the scene in the woods with Bambi and Thumper meeting up with the little skunk in a mound of flowers. The hand painted cast bronze piece is presented on an oval wood base with the artist’s plaque attached.
Marc Davis was one of Disney’s legendary ‘Nine Old Men’ on Walt Disney’s hand-picked animation board of directors. He is known for creating Tinkerbell, Sleeping Beauty, and Cruella DeVil.
