Robert Bero "Mountain View" Signed Artist's Proof Etching

A signed artist’s proof etching titled, Mountain View, by American artist and printmaker Robert Bero (1941-2007), best known for his etchings and detailed woodcuts of landscapes and trees. Bero’s work has been exhibited at numerous esteemed institutions and museums including the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian. This black and white print features a snowy landscape scene depicting a large mountain range off in the distance that is covered with pine trees throughout, which is displayed on ivory colored paper. This piece is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right margin with the title in the center and ‘Artist Proof II’ written in the lower left margin. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.

Condition

Minor scratches/smudges to plexiglass and frame. Plexiglass is slightly popping out from the frame at right side and bottom.
