Utagawa Hiroshige Offset Lithograph "Evening Snow of Mount Hira"

An offset lithograph after an original Edo period polychrome woodblock print titled Evening Snow of Mount Hira (比良暮雪 Hira Bosetsu) from the series Eight Views of Ōmi (近江八景の内 Ōmi hakkei no uchi) by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川 広重, 1797-1858). It depicts the mountain rising up to the top right corner, with a water’s edge village at the base of the foothills in the lower left corner. The print and series title and a poem are printed with cartouches in the upper left corner. The artist’s signature and seal are printed beneath. This work is presented with a black mat, behind glass, in a black painted wooden frame carved to replicate bamboo, wired for hanging.
