Chinese "Royal Satsuma" Vase
Item Details
A large Chinese vase decorated in an imitation of the popular Japanese Satsuma ware style. A seaside scene features a group of elegantly dressed women gathering in anticipation of the arrival of a noblewoman in a carriage. It is marked on the underside ‘Royal Satsuma, Hand-painted, Made in China’ alongside a stamp which reads ‘Made in China, Guxiang Yiyi’.
