A signed limited edition woodblock print titled, Winter in Aizu (9) circa 1970, by Japanese artist, Kiyoshi Saitō (斎藤 清, 1907-1997), who is known for a heavy use of realism and three-dimensionality while combining modern elements with Japanese tradition. This print depicts a snowy town scene featuring several houses in a row along the right margin with two black figures walking down the road, which has a dark palette comprised of black, grey, and white hues. This piece is numbered 34 out of an edition of 80 and is pencil signed and stamped by the artist in the lower right margin with the title written in the center. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
