Antique French 19th c. Billot de Boucher "Butcher Block"

An antique 19th century French billot de boucher, or Butcher Block, attributed to Trussant and Co., Saint-Livrade. This charming piece is made of mixed woods including maple. It features a double carving station design with the center carving area of butcher block shaped from generations of use, metal framed cleaver storage, and approximately 20’ square marble tops to each end. The upper back has a carved, curved design with two metal bull heads, center medallion, and a removable metal knife storage band. The front features a lower drawer centered under each carving station and a drawer under each marble top. The apron is a unique design and the three fluted front legs feature raised diamonds above.
