A Chinese Blanc de Chine porcelain figurine of He Xian Gu in the Dehua ware style out of the Fujian Province of China. This statue, from the early to mid 20th century, was made with delicate attention to detail and a precision representative of the porcelain that has been produced from this area for centuries. The immortal He Xian Gu stands on a bed of lotus flowers in a divine pose, gown flowing, holding a lotus flower which rests on her shoulder. One of the Eight Immortals of the Taoist pantheon, He Xian Gu is usually depicted with a lotus flower which is a symbol of health. Marked ‘China’ to the back.
