Kyu-Baik Hwang "Star Cluster" Original Etching

An original etching titled, Star Cluster by Korean artist, Kyu-Baik Hwang. The etching was printed in 1971 using five colors. Hwang (b. 1932) is known as one of the most influential print makers of the 20th century. Hwang works exclusively in a print medium called, color mezzotint. Hwang has had many solo exhibitions throughout Korea, Japan, the United States, England, Germany and more including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The British Museum in London and Museé d’Art Moderne in Paris. This particular work comes gallery framed and matted with a gold tone wooden frame. The work is hand signed and titled and hand numbered 65/100 to the lower left corner. A certificate of authenticity to the back gives brief biographical information of the artist and the work.
