A collection of eight makeup compacts circa 1940, including Evans, Volupte and Mondaine marked items. There are two rectangular cases, five square cases and one round case. Most feature a gold tone metal body, while one is silver tone. Motifs include floral needlepoint and tapestry lids. Inside there are hinged and/or removable compartment dividers and some original cosmetic applicator puffs.
