A John L. Eastman original framed gouache. The painting bears the following verse, “Love never ends; as for prophecy, it will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect; but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away.”. This is followed by the artist mark of signature and date, “John L. Eastman 6.15.72”. The piece has Eastman’s signature style of an elongated female figure, this one stretching across a black field with stars underneath. His watercolors are crisp, not allowing for bleed or blend of color.
