Guidoni Original Oil Landscape on Canvas

A large (2’8’ by 3’3’) mid 20th century oil on canvas landscape by Georgio Guidoni (Vienna, Austria, 1916-). The painting depicts a pastoral landscape with a tree lined stream flowing from the right, a lane meandering from the left, a house to the center, and mountains to the background. It is signed to the lower left in black paint ‘Guidoni.’ It is presented in a distressed wood frame painted cream, white, and gold. The verso comes with a wire for hanging an a note stating ‘Guidoni is Italian by birth and spent his Youth in the beautiful Dolomites. He later went to France and Austria for further studies. His landscapes show his love for the mountains in which he has been brought up.’
Condition
Crazing and and some flaking to parts of the painting. Light cracking and chipping on the frame.
