A signed limited edition 1991 offset lithograph of a 1990 painting by well-listed maritime artist John Stobart (1929-), titled Venice. John Stobart (born 1929-) is a British maritime artist best known for his paintings of American harbor scenes during the Golden Age of Sail. This soft, Impressionistic painting depicts harbor scene of Venice with gondolas lined up along the harbor, Saint Mark’s Basilica in the background, and the equestrian monument of Victor Emmanuel II to the right. The print is signed, titled, and dated in-plate. It is signed and numbered 101 of 350 in pencil to the lower right. The piece’s title is printed in black script in the lower margin. The print is professionally presented behind glass in a dimensional marbleized wood frame. A wire is attached to the verso of the piece for hanging.
