Signed Stobart Lithograph "Cincinnati: The Public Landing by Moonlight in 1884"

A very large (nearly 4’ X 3’) John Stobart hand signed and numbered offset lithograph is titled Cincinnati: The Public Landing by Moonlight in 1884. This wonderful print features tall stacks as they are docked a the Cincinnati Public Landing with the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge spanning the Ohio River. Stobart’s wonderful use of light and beautiful rendition of maritime art is quite evident in this beautiful piece. Cincinnati: The Public Landing by Moonlight in 1884 was issued in 2001 and is hand signed and numbered 500 of 750 in pencil to the lower right. It is professionally and beautifully framed under Anti-Reflective Glass in chiseled mats of metallic gold and deep forest green and set in a wood frame of burled cherry wood with black carved embellishments. John Stobart (1929-) was born in Leicester, England and emigrated to the United States in 1965 where he joined a number of upcoming maritime artists in New York.
