WILKINSON, Norman (1878 – 1971), original ‘proof set’ Etching. In 1938, The National Geographic Society commissioned and published a series of prints by famed naval artist Norman Wilkinson. The series was titled ‘Ships of the Centuries’, signature and initials N.G.S. (National Geographic Society) in pencil to margin. Lot includes proof of original Etching, title ‘Chinese Junk, Ageless Merchantman Of The Far East’. Unframed, portrait orientation.
