Item Details

A signed engraving Frederick Pegram (English, 1870-1937). This print depicts a young woman wearing a bonnet in a field taking a rest from work. Plate impressions are visible around the image’s border, and the artist’s penciled signature is at lower right. Framed and matted under glass with hanging wire to back.

Frederick Pelgram was a prolific illustrator and cartoonist whose works were featured in many popular English publications including Illustrated London News, The Tatler, and The Daily Chronicle. He also worked in paint, watercolor, pastel, and etchings.

Condition

Good to fair, with foxing to the paper from age. Frame has chips.
