A signed, framed, double-sided drawing by David Friedenthal of actress Sophia Loren on one side, and a battle scene from Hollywood blockbuster The Pride and the Passion on the verso.Many of Friedenthal’s drawings were used behind the credits an din the trailer for the film. The ink drawing depicts the famous Italian actress with her hair down and looking outward. The piece was drawn in 1956 while on set at The Pride And The Passion. On the opposite side depicts a battle scene with black, red, and brown hues. The piece is framed between two pieces of glass and housed in a silver tone frame.
David Fredenthal (1914-1958) was a famed watercolor artist. He was known for his drawings and was employed by Life magazine. In 1956, Fredenthal followed the The Pride And The Passion.
