A 1784 Spanish Carolus III, 8 Reales silver coin. This coin featuring chopped marks was minted in Mexico City but these Spanish (Hispan) colonial coins were circulated in the many New World colonies of Spain. The coins with Carolus III were minted from 1759 – 1788 and have a metal content of 0.896 silver.
