This cheeky painting on toned paper illustrates a woman running for the cable car, as it begins its descent down one of San Francisco’s notable hills. To the background of the painting rests the San Francisco Bridge. Signed and tilted in paint to lower margin, this work is mounted beneath a layer of pale blue matting and is presented behind glass in a carved wooden frame. Hanging wire present to verso.
