Chinese Han Dynasty Horse and Rider on Custom Mount

Item Details

A Han Dynasty painted pottery horse and rider, sculpted as one piece. The horse is positioned in mid-stride with great stylized detailing at the muzzle, showing teeth. The rider sits erect with one arm raised (may have held a sword or pole). The antiquity is mounted on a custom made painted wooden stand. Please note the piece has not been carbon dated.
