Item Details

An original 1924 conté crayon drawing on paper by an artist named L. Endres, titled Rouen. The drawing depicts hasty sketch of a street scene in the French town; figures walk between tall buildings connected by loosely hanging power lines. The drawing uses both white and black conté crayon to add contrast to the scene. The drawing is signed, dated, and titled to the lower left. A tag to the verso titles it again, and gives a street name that is illegible. The drawing is presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with an eye hook to the top for hanging.

Condition

- paper is slightly yellowed, consistent with age. Light scratching on frame.
