An original oil painting on board by 20th-century American artist W.T. Carlsen, circa 1970s. Little is known about this artist, but their signature appears on many similar Modernist cityscapes created throughout the mid-20th century. Here, a linear grid of rectangles and linework form the silhouette of a skyline, which his set against a deep red sky that glows with intensity. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented in a beveled wooden frame with white linen lining. A sawtooth hanger is attached to the verso.

- very light scratching to frame’s surface.
