An oil on canvas portrait of a young girl by listed artist Mary Sarg Murphy (1911-1986). This work features a three-quarter view of an adolescent girl. The sitter looks directly at the viewer with a serious expression and her long brown hair falls in waves over her shoulders and chest. She wears a white turtle-neck that contrasts the dark background behind her. The portrait is signed to the lower left and is ready to hang with picture wire to the verso.
