A Royal Nepal-Keshan area rug by Kaleen for Capel. The tufted area rug features an ivory field with sculpted lotus blossoms and palmettes in a muted palette of pale orange, shades of mocha brown and taupe, green, pale blue, yellow and salmon, connected by delicate vines and foliate motifs. It has a pair of tone-on tone green guard borders and a primary border of pale blue with large flower blossoms in harmonious colors. It is banded in the ivory color of the field. It has bound seams and a canvas backing. Tagged to reverse.
