Antique Leather Splitters

A pair of antique cast iron tools used in leathercraft. The tools are designed to be bolted to a work table and have blades for slicing and thinning pieces of leather, as well as crimping wheels. There is a hand-cranked skiver, or leather splitter by American, St. Louis, with a patent date of 1911. The second is also for splitting leather but there is no manufacturer’s name.
