Early 20th Century Stepback Cupboard by Berkey & Gay

Item Details

An early 20th century stepback cupboard by Berkey & Gay. The cherry-finished case features a projecting cornice above two, six-light doors, which open to a pair of adjustable shelves. The projecting lower case has a bowed frieze drawer over a one-shelf cabinet concealed by blind-paneled doors. The doors are flanked by turned, half-columns and the cupboard rises on cylindrical feet. The drawer interior retains a tag for ‘Berkey & Gay Furniture Co’.
