Alex Wyse Mix Media on Paper "Bird By The Sun"
Item Details
A mix media on paper titled Bird By The Sun by listed Canadian artist Alex Wyse (1938). Six pyramid structures made from what appear to be leaves are scattered across the painting. The main pyramid in the foreground has eight flags the top one with the number three with a campfire in the distance. To the right, a wooden structure is built on the right with pendant flags attached, overhead a bird flies after a small bug in front the sun. Ink was used for most of the line work with pastel hues used for the colored sections. This piece comes presented under glass in a white painted porthole style frame. To the verso, a descriptive gallery decal is present to the top. A horizontal hanging wire is present and the piece is ready to be hung.
