An etching on paper of a Paris street scene by listed French artist Amedee Julien Marcel-Clement (1873- c. 1950). This etching depicts a circa. 1900 street scene with horse drawn carriages leading towards what appears to be the Arc de Triomphe in the distance. Towards the left of the composition a yellow tone carriage is drawn by four horses three white and one brown with three women wearing large hats ride in the front and a man wearing top hat hold the reigns of the horses. A woman with a small child and dogs crosses the street and passes in front of them. To the upper right corner, an inscription in French reads ‘Edite par George Petit 8 rue de Paris Seige, November 1913’. To the lower left corner, the number ‘55’ is written in pencil with an embossed stamp. The lower right corner bears the artist signature written in pencil. The piece is presented with the plate mark exposed in a beige tone mat with a black and gold tone composite frame. Horizontal hanging wire is installed to the verso.
