A first edition copy of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), published 1885 by Charles L. Webster & Company. It has a green cloth cover with gilt accents, and includes the printing errors which identify it as a first edition: the Table of Contents heading for Chapter VI which reads ‘Huck Decided to Leave’ (amended to ‘decides’ in later editions), the incorrect page number 88 for ‘Him and another Man’ in the list of illustrations, and the typographical error of ‘with the was’ for ‘with the saw’ on page 57. - front hinge is torn, back hinge has minute tears. Wear to corners and edges. Inner hinged have been reinforced with white cloth tape. Small stains and small tears to some interior pages.
