Vintage Samsonite Suitcase

Item Details

A vintage Samsonite suitcase. The metal label on the top reads ‘Shwayder Bros. Inc. – Samsonite – Denver, Colorado’. The piece has a keyhole and two latches, one on each end. The two back hinges are affixed to curving supports. The original advertisement is within the case, and a curtained-off section is still in place on the upper lid. A tag sewn to the interior reads ‘Samsonite Luggage – Style 4916 – Shwayder Bros., Inc., Denver’. Side pockets and restraining ties are secured in the bottom of the case.
