Antique 24" Collectible "Floradora" Doll by Armand Marseille

Item Details

An antique 24’ collectible Floradora doll by Armand Marseille. The doll has bisque shoulder head with real hair eyebrows, marked on her upper back “Floradora,” bisque head with blue glass fixed eyes and replaced eyelashes, open mouth with four teeth, dimple in the chin, newer mohair wig which is a little big for her, kid leather body, rivets at the upper arms, lower bisque arms and hands, has rivets in the knees. She is jointed at the hips so she can also be displayed in a seated position. She has the original sticker on her chest which reads “Floradora.’ This doll has real hair eyelashes which will not drop out nor can they be pulled out. U.S. Patent 952716 Mch. 22/1910 Germany. She is wearing a vintage pink dress with lace and matching lace edged bloomers, stockings and cloth shoes with lace ties that match the dress.

Condition

The bisque head has been lighted and does not show any damage. There is no damage to the bisque shoulder plate. There is some glue residue around the pate and head opening. The kid leather body is in good condition with no leaks. The leather body does show some wear consistent with age.
