A signed limited edition screen print titled, Red Chair c. 1984 by American painter and sculptor Sondra Freckelton (b.1936), who is best known for her embrace of the beauty of the everyday – flowers, vegetables, and household objects are often the focal points of her work. Freckelton’s art has been exhibited at numerous esteemed institutions and museums including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Smithsonian. Red Chair features a garden planter filled with poppies resting on a red garden chair. The print is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right margin and is numbered 41 out of an edition of 50, which is written in the lower left. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
