A hand knotted Heriz rug, with an ornately styled center medallion of cream, gold, green, and navy on a red field, with cream and green cornerpieces and navy border. The entire piece is covered in floral and vine designs, with large, bold design in the center and bold, natural coloring throughout.

Heriz rugs come from northwest Persia, combining village weaving techniques with grand patterns.
