Simons Brothers and Owl Sterling Silver Thimbles
Item Details
A group of three sterling silver thimbles. The largest of these thimbles features the form of an owl on one side bordered by delicate scrolling, with a latticework body and a pitted top. It is marked ‘925’. The other two are by Simons Brothers (established 1840, Philadelphia, PA). Each features a slight domed pitted top, with a pitted upper body with a smooth bottom band marked ‘Sterling 10’. One also features an additional bottom band of Greek key design. The total approximate weight is 0.515 ozt.

- areas of tarnishing, and some extant glue on one.
