Brett Harper Original Artist's Proof Serigraph "Day Lilies"

A signed 1981 Artist’s Proof serigraph by contemporary Cincinnati artist Brett Harper, son of extremely prolific illustrators Charley and Edie Harper. The print is titled Day Lilies. Harper is best-known for creating gestural thin black line drawings and filling them with organic patches of color, just as this piece exhibits. Here, several orange day lily blooms hang from delicate green stems that reach across the page. The print is signed and labeled as an Artist’s Proof in pencil to the lower margin. It is double-matted in olive and white and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with black finish and a hanging wire.
