A pair of machine woven rugs. One is a woven wool Bokhara rug, a companion to the Bokhara rug in 16CIN393-145. The rug has a vivid carmine red background field with overall ’elephant’s foot’ gul medallion patterning in shades of off white, beige, carmine red, pale blue and navy blue, with alternating cross-shaped gul with patterned centers. The rug enjoys minor borders with geometric diamond shapes, a major border with radiating form medallions alternating with small gul shapes, and a serrated design outer border. The rug retains the original tag to the underside. The other rug is a tribal style in a wool blend beige background, with four alternating rectangular shapes in beige and rose to the center, each populated with a serrated medallion. The Italian-made rug has a dark rose major border with serrated angled shapes, a major border in beige populated with four-lobe floral forms, and several geometrically-patterned guard stripes. Both rug have off white fringed ends.
