A giclee after a forgery of a work by Vermeer. The print depicts a work by Han van Meegeren, best known for his forgeries of Vermeer paintings. The piece depicts a young girl seated at a desk, pen in her left hand, dressed in a yellow blouse with wide white collar and cuffs, with a gold-banded navy blue shawl or pillow below her arm. The girl’s face is turned to the painter, with wide eyes and delicate pearl earrings. The work is displayed under a natural linen matte in an ornate carved and washed frame. The piece has hardware to the top back for hanging.
