An upright piano by Oscar Steinbach with bench. The mahogany case features a rectangular top above a pierced music rack and a hinged fallboard. The projecting keyboard is supported by square, tapered front legs ending in brass-toned caps. The piano cabinet rises on a three-pedal base with casters. The front panel and interior are marked ‘Oscar Steinback / St. Louis’ and the interior and back are numbered ‘491595’. There is also a sticker for the ‘United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America’. Accompanying the piano is a lift-top bench.
