Pair of 1953 Color Lobby Cards for Walt Disney's "Peter Pan"

Item Details

A pair of original 1953 theatrical release offset lithographic lobby cards promoting the release of Walt Disney’s animated film Peter Pan. Each card depicts a full-color image of a scene from the movie and has the movie’s title and the print’s publishing information printed to the lower margin. The numbers ‘8-145’ are written in pen to the lower right where a National Screen Service stamp would generally reside. NSS stamp reads “53 17” in red, vertically, center right, verso. Lobby cards such as these were used by theaters to advertise upcoming films in the lobby areas of their establishments. These cards would have most likely been displayed or handed out to movie-goers.
