Chinese Carved Aubusson Area Rug

A Chinese Carved Aubusson area rug. It features a floral medallion with a garland and foliate palette of amethyst, blush, eggnog and jade surrounded by a pale pink field. It has a repeating floral detail on the spandrels, with a broken primary border in ivory, with harmonious floral patterning. The rug surface has been sculpted to give a deeply textured feel and appearance. It has a small kilim skirt and dense cotton warp fringe to either end. Unmarked.
