Commemorative Carved Slate Slab Honoring Apollo Mission
Item Details
An organic carved slate reminiscent of scorched metal in color featuring a pair of hands reaching across to a partial profile of a feminine nude form hidden amongst the color change in the mineral deposits of the stone. Marked Louis Jean Renault with an artist mark encapsulated in a circle, to the lower left on the side featuring the hands. Above on the same side, is the linear zodiac symbol for Cancer followed by the greek letters ‘KOEMOE’. On the obverse side is carved ’ a leguipage Apollo prix universel 1969’
